Traverus has a very simple online travel agent course which takes about 2-5 hours to complete ( It took me about 1.5 hours), and then Traverus sends you a travel agent certification badge after approx. 90 days. You can then get your CLIA certification which gets you better discounts / education on cruises for a small fee. You are also eligible for FAM ( short for familiarization) trips ( trips only for travel agents at very discounted rates in exchange for doing things while on board such as touring the ship, meeting the staff, etc. Most cruises allow FAM trips  $40.00 - $60.00 per day per person with a CLIA certification). From all of our research, we have come to the conclusion that Traverus is a very legitimate company; as they have an IATA# and actually train their employees as (CTA's), certified travel agents.

This is a great opportunity for the person who loves to travel OR for the person who may just want to bring people into the company. You may not be any of these, and that is fine.
