Kamanu Charters - Snorkeling Tour
They have been sailing to and snorkeling Pawai Bay in Kailua Kona, Hawaii for 30 years without the crowds, serving 24 guests maximum, and usually less. The big island boats can't offer the feeling of ohana (family) and personalized service you will get on Kamanu.
Times:
Morning sail: Departs 9:00 a.m., returns 12:30 p.m. Afternoon sail: Departs 1:30 p.m., returns 5:00 p.m. Boat: Catamaran Custom Kurt Hughes design, built in 1985, 36 feet long by 22 feet wide -- seating for 24, with shaded area for 6 to 8 and forward netting for laying in the sun...spacious and comfortable. Departs: Honokohau Marina 2.5 miles north of Kailua Village on Hwy. 19 (5 miles south of Keahole Airport). Free parking to the right of the gas station, left side of the harbor. Check in at our office in fuel dock building. Snorkel site: Pawai Bay State Fisheries Management Area just north of the Old Airport Marine Sanctuary. Pawai Bay is within the Queen Liliuokalani Trust Lands at Kaiwi Point and is private land. Excellent variety of fish and dramatic underwater terrain. Charter Includes:
